Can mobile windscreen repair businesses be SAWRA-certified?

Yes. SAWRA offers Mobile Workshop Certification for businesses operating on a mobile basis.

Technical Questions

What types of windscreen damage can be repaired?

✔ Stone chips – Most bullseyes, star breaks, and combination chips can be repaired.
✔ Cracks – Long cracks up to 30cm can often be repaired (case-by-case basis).
❌ Not repairable: Deep cracks reaching the inner glass layer or damage directly in the driver’s line of sight.

What resins does SAWRA recommend?

SAWRA-approved resins include:
✔ VitroShield CB-100 
✔ VitroShield CR-250
✔ VitroShield PS-50

Technicians may also use other SAWRA-approved resins that meet industry standards.
